Founder & Executive Director
MSc Public Health (Health Policy), B.Pharm
Dr. Monica Ogetange is a public health and healthcare systems leader with over a decade of experience strengthening health systems across clinical operations, policy design, and data-driven reform.
Dr. Ogetange founded Cernere Growth Hub after recognizing a persistent pattern: capable organizations with ambitious missions were stuck at the same scale year after year; not from lack of strategy or effort, but from three critical gaps: unclear understanding of their root problems and opportunities, insufficient adaptive capacity, and isolated growth.
CGH helps institutions break through using an integrated approach: diagnostic clarity, capability building, and ecosystem activation.
Her professional expertise bridges clinical practice, policy, and data analytics—anchored in her commitment to strengthening systems and fostering sustainable impact. Dr. Ogetange has led operational turnarounds for healthcare institutions, developed investment frameworks that improved financial sustainability, and shaped county-level health policy frameworks that strengthened governance and service delivery.
She has managed multidisciplinary teams, implemented health promotion programs, and fostered collaborative stakeholder engagement across public, private, and development sectors. Notably, she served as Project Coordinator for a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) addressing COVID-19 management and contributed to strategic frameworks including the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP), Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), Health Products and Technologies Strategic Plan, and the Public-Private Collaboration Framework for Mombasa County's Department of Health (2023–2027).
Dr. Ogetange holds an MSc in Public Health (Health Policy) from the University of Suffolk (UK) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Nairobi. She has trained in data science, analytics, and machine learning, with certifications from the University of Washington in Global Health Policy, Epidemiology, and Project Management, and from Pwani Research Centre in grant writing and research methods.
Dr. Ogetange founded Run & Brunch Mombasa to build community through fitness and connection. As an active triathlete, avid traveler, and reader, she brings a global perspective and commitment to wellness to everything she does; believing that sustainable impact requires both strategic clarity and resilience.
